
This formula is designed to "fortify the root and clear the source," nourishing yin and draining fire concurrently, with nourishing yin as the primary emphasis.
o Cough with blood-streaked sputum, vexation and irritability.
o Red tongue with scant coating.
o Use with caution in those with Spleen-Stomach deficiency, poor appetite, or loose stools. The herbs in this formula are rich and cloying, and may readily impair digestion.
o Not suitable for patterns of excess fire.
o Shu Di Huang (prepared rehmannia root) 18 g + Gui Jia (tortoise shell) 18 g + Huang Bai (phellodendron bark) 12 g + Zhi Mu (anemarrhena rhizome) 12 g = 60 g.
o 60 g raw herb ÷ 5 = 12 g granules.
o One dose daily, divided into two servings taken in warm water in the morning and evening, about 6 g per serving.
o Or as directed by a physician, who will add or subtract herbs according to the relative emphasis of yin deficiency and fire excess in the patient, in which case the total raw herb weight should be recalculated accordingly.
本方立法旨在“培本清源”,滋阴与降火并行,但以滋阴培本为主。
o 咳嗽咯血、心烦易怒。
o 舌红少苔。
o 脾胃虚弱、食少便溏者慎用。 本方药物滋腻,易妨碍消化。
o 实火证者不宜使用。
o 熟地黄18g + 龟甲18g + 黄柏12g + 知母12g = 60克。
o 60克生药 ÷ 5 = 12克颗粒。
o 每日一剂,分早晚两次温水冲服,每次约6克。
o 或遵医嘱,医师会根据患者阴虚与火旺的侧重进行加减,届时需按调整后的总生药量重新换算。
