This formula treats the Heart and Spleen together and tonifies both qi and blood, but the emphasis is on tonifying qi, with the intent of generating blood.
o Sallow, yellowish complexion.
o Pale tongue with thin white coating.
o Use with caution in patients with yin deficiency and internal heat.
o Avoid in externally contracted repletion patterns.
o Huang Qi (astragalus root) 15 g + Long Yan Rou (longan flesh) 15 g + Ren Shen (ginseng) 9 g + Bai Zhu (white atractylodes rhizome) 12 g + Dang Gui (Chinese angelica root) 9 g + Suan Zao Ren (sour jujube seed) 15 g + Fu Ling (poria) 12 g + Yuan Zhi (polygala root) 6 g + Mu Xiang (costus root) 6 g + Zhi Gan Cao (honey-fried licorice root) 6 g + Sheng Jiang (fresh ginger) 5 g + Da Zao (Chinese date) 3 g = 113 g.
o 113 g raw herbs ÷ 5 = 22.6 g granules.
o One dose per day, taken in 2 divided doses (morning and evening), dissolved in warm water, about 11 g per dose.
o Or as directed by a physician; the practitioner will modify the formula according to the relative severity of qi and blood deficiency, in which case the total raw herb weight must be recalculated accordingly.

o 113克生药 ÷ 5 = 22.6克颗粒。
o 每日一剂，分早晚两次温水冲服，每次约11克。
o 或遵医嘱，医师会根据患者气血亏虚的侧重进行加减，届时需按调整后的总生药量重新换算。
